The history of New Mexico punched tinwork dates back to the early 1800s, when the spanish settled this territory. Tools and tin were brought in more regularly when the railroad was built in 1880.
Today's Punched Tin revival here in New Mexico has been pioneered by Master Tinsmith Ted Arrellanes of Albuquerque. After working under Ted for 4 years Josh Bond introduced his own unique style of Contemporary New Mexican Tinwork, brining in Copper and Brass.
